Specs Summary
About This Assembly
LMR195 Times Cable
LMR-195 is a Times Microwave 50-ohm flexible coaxial cable with a 0.195" outer diameter and very low loss compared to RG-58. Its aluminized tape plus tinned copper braid shield provides excellent 40 dB shielding, making it suitable for runs from 10 to 50 feet in WiFi, cellular, and two-way radio installations.
RP-SMA Connector
RP-SMA (Reverse Polarity SMA) uses the SMA threaded coupling mechanism but with the male/female pin convention reversed — the jack has a pin and the plug has a socket. Originally standardized to prevent connection of uncertified antennas to consumer WiFi equipment, RP-SMA is now the dominant connector on commercial WiFi routers, access points, and 2.4/5 GHz antennas.
TNC Connector
TNC (Threaded Neill–Concelman) is the threaded version of BNC, offering improved performance up to 11 GHz and better vibration resistance through its screw coupling. It is commonly used in mobile radio antennas, avionics, and outdoor installations where BNC's bayonet lock would not provide sufficient mechanical security.
Common Applications
This RP-SMA and TNC cable assembly is well suited for WiFi antenna pigtails, cellular signal boosters, and two-way radio connections. The combination of reliable RP-SMA and TNC connectors and custom-cut cable length makes it a practical choice for both field installations and bench setups. Every assembly is hand-terminated, continuity tested, and ships free within the USA.
