Specs Summary
About This Assembly
RG316 Cable
RG-316 is a lightweight, flexible 50-ohm PTFE coaxial cable with a 0.100" outer diameter, combining good high-frequency performance with excellent flexibility. Silver-plated copper conductors and PTFE dielectric allow reliable operation from DC to 3 GHz and beyond. Widely used in instrumentation, test equipment, and antenna pigtails where flexibility and moderate power handling are needed.
BNC Connector
BNC (Bayonet Neill–Concelman) is a quick-connect RF connector featuring a bayonet locking mechanism for fast mating and unmating, rated from DC to 4 GHz. Its ease of use makes it standard in test and measurement equipment, video distribution, two-way radio accessories, and laboratory bench setups where cables are frequently connected and disconnected.
RP-TNC Connector
RP-TNC (Reverse Polarity TNC) uses the TNC threaded shell with reversed pin conventions, similar to RP-SMA. It is used on some commercial WiFi access points and outdoor CPE antennas, particularly in older Cisco and Linksys equipment, and offers better vibration resistance than RP-SMA in demanding outdoor environments.
Common Applications
This BNC and RP-TNC cable assembly is well suited for instrumentation leads, test equipment interconnects, and flexible antenna pigtails. The combination of reliable BNC and RP-TNC connectors and custom-cut cable length makes it a practical choice for both field installations and bench setups. Every assembly is hand-terminated, continuity tested, and ships free within the USA.
