Specs Summary
About This Assembly
RG316 Cable
RG-316 is a lightweight, flexible 50-ohm PTFE coaxial cable with a 0.100" outer diameter, combining good high-frequency performance with excellent flexibility. Silver-plated copper conductors and PTFE dielectric allow reliable operation from DC to 3 GHz and beyond. Widely used in instrumentation, test equipment, and antenna pigtails where flexibility and moderate power handling are needed.
RP-TNC Connector
RP-TNC (Reverse Polarity TNC) uses the TNC threaded shell with reversed pin conventions, similar to RP-SMA. It is used on some commercial WiFi access points and outdoor CPE antennas, particularly in older Cisco and Linksys equipment, and offers better vibration resistance than RP-SMA in demanding outdoor environments.
TNC Connector
TNC (Threaded Neill–Concelman) is the threaded version of BNC, offering improved performance up to 11 GHz and better vibration resistance through its screw coupling. It is commonly used in mobile radio antennas, avionics, and outdoor installations where BNC's bayonet lock would not provide sufficient mechanical security.
Common Applications
This RP-TNC and TNC cable assembly is well suited for instrumentation leads, test equipment interconnects, and flexible antenna pigtails. The combination of reliable RP-TNC and TNC connectors and custom-cut cable length makes it a practical choice for both field installations and bench setups. Every assembly is hand-terminated, continuity tested, and ships free within the USA.
