About This Assembly

LMR100 Times Cable

LMR-100A is a Times Microwave 50-ohm flexible coaxial cable with a 0.100" outer diameter, delivering significantly lower signal loss than RG-174 or RG-178 at the same form factor. Its foil-plus-braid shield offers 40 dB shielding effectiveness. A popular upgrade for short antenna pigtails and module connections in WiFi, cellular, and GPS applications.

F Connector

The F connector is a low-cost threaded coaxial connector used almost exclusively in cable TV, satellite, and over-the-air broadcast applications. It uses the center conductor of RG-6 or RG-59 cable as the pin, which simplifies termination and reduces cost. F connectors are found on cable modems, satellite receivers, TV tuners, and distribution amplifiers.

RP-SMA Connector

RP-SMA (Reverse Polarity SMA) uses the SMA threaded coupling mechanism but with the male/female pin convention reversed — the jack has a pin and the plug has a socket. Originally standardized to prevent connection of uncertified antennas to consumer WiFi equipment, RP-SMA is now the dominant connector on commercial WiFi routers, access points, and 2.4/5 GHz antennas.

Common Applications

This F and RP-SMA cable assembly is well suited for short antenna pigtails, module-to-antenna connections, and compact RF assemblies. The combination of reliable F and RP-SMA connectors and custom-cut cable length makes it a practical choice for both field installations and bench setups. Every assembly is hand-terminated, continuity tested, and ships free within the USA.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is LMR100 Times coaxial cable used for?

LMR-100A is a Times Microwave 50-ohm flexible coaxial cable with a 0.100" outer diameter, delivering significantly lower signal loss than RG-174 or RG-178 at the same form factor. Its foil-plus-braid shield offers 40 dB shielding effectiveness. A popular upgrade for short antenna pigtails and module connections in WiFi, cellular, and GPS applications.

What is the signal loss of LMR100 Times?

At 1800 MHz, LMR100 Times has approximately 23.8 dB of loss per 100 ft (0.238 dB/ft).

What frequency range does this assembly support?

This assembly is rated DC – 2 GHz, limited by the lowest-rated component across the cable and connectors.

What is a F connector?

The F connector is a low-cost threaded coaxial connector used almost exclusively in cable TV, satellite, and over-the-air broadcast applications. It uses the center conductor of RG-6 or RG-59 cable as the pin, which simplifies termination and reduces cost.
