About This Assembly
LMR240 Times Cable
LMR-240 is a Times Microwave 50-ohm low-loss coaxial cable with a 0.240" outer diameter and excellent flexibility for its size. Designed for medium-length runs up to 75 feet, it is widely deployed in cellular infrastructure, public safety radio, GPS distribution, and anywhere a balance of low loss and easy installation is required.
BNC Connector
BNC (Bayonet Neill–Concelman) is a quick-connect RF connector featuring a bayonet locking mechanism for fast mating and unmating, rated from DC to 4 GHz. Its ease of use makes it standard in test and measurement equipment, video distribution, two-way radio accessories, and laboratory bench setups where cables are frequently connected and disconnected.
RP-TNC Connector
RP-TNC (Reverse Polarity TNC) uses the TNC threaded shell with reversed pin conventions, similar to RP-SMA. It is used on some commercial WiFi access points and outdoor CPE antennas, particularly in older Cisco and Linksys equipment, and offers better vibration resistance than RP-SMA in demanding outdoor environments.
Common Applications
This BNC and RP-TNC cable assembly is well suited for medium-length antenna runs, public safety radio, and cellular infrastructure jumpers. The combination of reliable BNC and RP-TNC connectors and custom-cut cable length makes it a practical choice for both field installations and bench setups. Every assembly is hand-terminated, continuity tested, and ships free within the USA.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this cable hand-assembled in the USA?
Yes. Every CoaxRF cable assembly is hand-terminated and continuity tested at our US facility before shipping. We do not drop-ship pre-made cables from overseas — each cable is built to order.
Can I order a different length than 1 ft?
Yes. This page is for the 1 ft assembly. Use the length buttons above to select a different standard length, or use the Cable Builder for any custom length.
How much signal loss will I see with this 1 ft cable?
At 1800 MHz, LMR240 Times loses approximately 10.8 dB per 100 ft. This 1 ft assembly will have roughly 0.11 dB of insertion loss at that frequency. See the signal loss table for all frequency points.
What is the maximum frequency for this assembly?
This assembly is rated DC – 4 GHz. The effective frequency limit is set by the lowest-rated component — either the cable or one of the connectors. Both BNC MALE and RP-TNC MALE connectors must be within spec at your target frequency.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Custom-length cables are accepted as long as they are in original condition. Contact us and we will provide a prepaid return label at no charge.
