About This Assembly

RG316 Cable

RG-316 is a lightweight, flexible 50-ohm PTFE coaxial cable with a 0.100" outer diameter, combining good high-frequency performance with excellent flexibility. Silver-plated copper conductors and PTFE dielectric allow reliable operation from DC to 3 GHz and beyond. Widely used in instrumentation, test equipment, and antenna pigtails where flexibility and moderate power handling are needed.

BNC Connector

BNC (Bayonet Neill–Concelman) is a quick-connect RF connector featuring a bayonet locking mechanism for fast mating and unmating, rated from DC to 4 GHz. Its ease of use makes it standard in test and measurement equipment, video distribution, two-way radio accessories, and laboratory bench setups where cables are frequently connected and disconnected.

F Connector

The F connector is a low-cost threaded coaxial connector used almost exclusively in cable TV, satellite, and over-the-air broadcast applications. It uses the center conductor of RG-6 or RG-59 cable as the pin, which simplifies termination and reduces cost. F connectors are found on cable modems, satellite receivers, TV tuners, and distribution amplifiers.

Common Applications

This BNC and F cable assembly is well suited for instrumentation leads, test equipment interconnects, and flexible antenna pigtails. The combination of reliable BNC and F connectors and custom-cut cable length makes it a practical choice for both field installations and bench setups. Every assembly is hand-terminated, continuity tested, and ships free within the USA.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this cable hand-assembled in the USA?

Yes. Every CoaxRF cable assembly is hand-terminated and continuity tested at our US facility before shipping. We do not drop-ship pre-made cables from overseas — each cable is built to order.

Can I order a different length than 50 ft?

Yes. This page is for the 50 ft assembly. Use the length buttons above to select a different standard length, or use the Cable Builder for any custom length.

How much signal loss will I see with this 50 ft cable?

At 1800 MHz, RG316 loses approximately 27 dB per 100 ft. This 50 ft assembly will have roughly 13.5 dB of insertion loss at that frequency. See the signal loss table for all frequency points.

What is the maximum frequency for this assembly?

This assembly is rated DC – 2 GHz. The effective frequency limit is set by the lowest-rated component — either the cable or one of the connectors. Both BNC FEMALE and F MALE connectors must be within spec at your target frequency.

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Custom-length cables are accepted as long as they are in original condition. Contact us and we will provide a prepaid return label at no charge.
